Our goal is to gift over 5,000 jars of honey to Holocaust survivors, new immigrants and other Israelis in need. Will you help us reach that goal?
Jewish people in Israel and around the world are gearing up to celebrate Rosh HaShanah (Jewish New Year), which begins at sundown on September 15. This holiday is renowned for indulging in sweet treats—specifically apples dipped in honey—to symbolize wishes for a sweet new year.
Yet the sad reality is that the needy Israelis whom we help feed every month cannot afford daily necessities like food, let alone sweet treats like honey. That’s where we can make a difference this Rosh HaShanah. For as little as US $50, you can buy 10 jars of honey. US $100 will provide honey for 20 Israelis, and US $500 will mean 100 jars to wish 100 Israelis a sweet new year.
Sunset on Friday, September 15, ushers in the holiday, marking the beginning of year 5784 on the Jewish calendar. Will you donate generously as a tangible outpouring of your love on needy Israelis by blessing them with a sweet treat to start a sweet new year?

At Bridges for Peace it is our heart and our privilege to stand with Jewish people in Israel and around the world.
